  1. International Food Regulation:

Codex is the international food regulation currently accepted by many countries around the world. Member countries signatory to the WTO harmonize their country regulations with that of Codex. When a standard is made or revised under Codex alimentarius, it takes into account the comments from individual member countries. Following Codex standards, avoids barriers in the international trade(fair trade) and also ensure food is safe for all.
